The Jansz

The Jansz is a Group 3 Australian Thoroughbred horse race for horses aged two years old, at set weights with penalties, over a distance of 1200 metres. It is held annually at Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide.

• 1985 onwards held over 1200 metres

• 1985–1986 was a Listed Race
• 1987 onwards Group 3

• 1985 - 1993 the race was known as the ‘National Stakes’
• 1994 - 1998 the race was known as the ‘SGIC Stakes’
• 1999 the race was known as the ‘Stillwell Stakes’
• 1999 the race was known as the ‘National Stakes’
• 2001 onwards the race has been called ‘The Jansz’
